NPE visitors looked for solutions for innovative film production – and found them at the Brückner booth

Brückner Maschinenbau presented the latest film stretching technologies and Brückner Servtec demonstrated how film producers can improve the productivity of their existing lines

At this year’s NPE – for the second time in Orlando, Florida – it became obvious that the plastics industry in the Americas sees attractive new business opportunities. The joint Brückner Group booth was highly frequented during the whole show and a meeting point for film producers and plastics processors from the USA, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and South America.   Brückner Maschinenbau presented the latest film stretching technologies. Many interesting dialogues with visitors concentrated on the highly efficient commodity film production at reduced energy consumption and raw material usage. Especially in the focus of film producers: the manufacture of a variety of added-value technical films for the solar, optical and electronic industries. Another highlight were Brückner’s advanced battery separator film production lines with the patented EVAPORE process for efficiency, high output and consistent quality for 3C and EV applications. Brückner Servtec demonstrated how film producers can improve the productivity of their existing film stretching lines. The discussions at the booth mainly concentrated on upgrades to 5-layer film production, the company’s CLIPFIT center, providing a professional clip and chain overhaul and refurbishment for the Americas in Bogotá/Colombia and on detailed concepts for upgrading an older film stretching line’s process control system. Another hot topic in the region are line relocations, for which Brueckner Servtec can provide complete services from disassembly to the successful start-up at the new location.   Both companies’ NPE appearance was completed by the presentation of the latest developments in Brückner’s R&D department, e.g. several extensions to the unique technology center for comprehensive R&D for all kind of film stretching technologies under one roof.
