The now-a-day solution measures the diameter of the web roll. Due to some inaccuracy of the measurement and variations of the roll core with this system some meters of unused web remains on the roll core. Over time so a considerable amount of web remains unused and needs to be disposed. Here the new Wasteless Splicing System shows its advantages: Before the end of the laminate, the laminate accumulator will be filled. This provides enough material and so continuous run for the time being when a sensor system detects the reel core and eventually pulls off the laminate from the core.
