Combitool AG, located in Bäretswil, Switzerland, and PackSys Global AG, located in Rüti, Switzerland, announced today that the two companies have merged. The merged companies will operate under the name of PackSys Global AG. Design, manufacture and service support for Combitool AG and PackSys Global AG machines will continue uninterrupted from Bäretswil and Rüti. In summer 2021 the two organisations are scheduled to move together into a new, company-owned, custom-built, 15’000 m2 facility, located in Rüti less than 1km from PackSys Global’s AG current rented location.
Combitool AG was acquired by PackSys Global AG in October 2014. Since that time Combitool AG has operated as an independent, fully owned subsidiary of PackSys Global AG. The companies’ engineers have collaborated on machine developments and on knowledge sharing and experience in areas such as developing value-added products, software development, tooling design, process improvements and digitalization solutions. Both companies put customers and staff development first to ensure that the combined group can deliver best in class operational excellence.
Beat Rupp, CEO of PackSys Global, said, “After 5+ years of very successful cooperation between the companies we saw that there are no benefits of having two legal entities in the same business segment but located less than 10 km of each other. The commitment of our shareholder, the Brückner Group GmbH, to invest into our new state-of-the art, world-class facility, was the final step to allow our vision of having a single, combined Combitool and PackSys Global team designing, manufacturing and giving support to tube customers from under one roof. We are now one company. Starting in the summer of 2021 we will be together in one location allowing further synergies and new developments to be achieved.
We would like to thank all customers of both companies for their loyalty and look forward to continuing our good cooperation.”
