For two complete monobloc aerosol can lines for its new greenfield plant in Abu Dhabi
PackSys Global has won the account from Gulf Cans Industries to supply two complete monobloc aerosol can lines each producing 200 cans per minute. The lines include 9-color offset printing and are capable of producing a variety of sophisticated shapes and sizes to cater for a wide range of industries such as personal care, pharmaceutical, and beverages. The lines will be installed in 2016 with full commercial production scheduled to begin in the last quarter of 2016. In addition to the equipment training, Gulf Cans will benefit from PackSys Global’s extensive industry experience to ensure the plant runs efficiently and meets industry standards.
Gulf Cans Industries is owned by a group of industrialists who have established industrial manufacturing facilities in Middle East, Europe & West Africa with an operating track record extending over 40 years. They operate several large industrial facilities in steel, chemicals, glass and power. Having identified a clear gap in the Middle East for aerosol can manufacture, Gulf Cans is entering this virgin territory with a new greenfield plant in Abu Dhabi. This way it will enter one of the fastest growing filling markets in the world, which is currently believed to consume about 250 million cans. Once the new plant is ramped up to full production, Gulf Cans Industries will go ahead with installation of another two lines giving customers the flexibility of a complete range of sizes and decoration options.
