Brückner Servtec’s contribution met with great interest
AMI's eighth Asia-Pacific international event on markets and technology of flexible packaging, “Specialty Packaging Films”, took place on 6-7 December in Bangkok, Thailand. Expert speakers from across the packaging supply chain shared the latest market insights and developments in high value-add film solutions to balance requirements for functionality, safety, sustainability, cost efficiency and increased speed to market. These topics and more have been explored in depth, enabling delegates to help lead the debate on how the flexible packaging industry should innovate to support product optimisation and sustainability initiatives.
Markus Gschwandtner, Managing Director Brückner Servtec, was among the speakers. He demonstrated how biax films are contributing to the circular economy. Two of his main topics:
- Away from multi-material structures towards mono-material structures, shown at the example of BOPE, BOPET and BOPP films
- How to record packaging properties during production and supply this data to improve the sorting process at the end of the life cycle with the R-Cycle solution
Markus’ conclusion: ”Specialty Packaging Films gave a fantastic opportunity to network with users and producers of flexible packaging. During the discussions it became clear, that we all need the collaboration along the entire value chain. We will continue to keep our ear to the pulse of time, in Southeast-Asia in particular also via our new headquarters in Chonburi, Thailand.”
