Sven Engelmann, Vice President - Technology at Kiefel since February, has been awarded the President’s Cup of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE). The award ceremony took place at the renowned SPE ANTEC® 2025 conference, held from March 3 to 6 in Philadelphia, USA, by the 2024 SPE President, Conor Carlin.
The President’s Cup is a special award that has been presented almost every year since 1958. It recognizes outstanding and meritorious service to the SPE and is awarded at the discretion of the SPE President. Sven Engelmann received the award for more than 20 years of service as an SPE member, as a volunteer leader, as a board member and now chair of the European Thermoforming Division. Of particular note is his commitment to strengthening international cooperation within SPE, especially between the US and European Thermoforming Divisions. Sven Engelmann has performed a variety of roles including speaker, moderator, organizer, and workshop leader. Furthermore, his continuous promotion of thermoforming solutions for the circular economy are widely acknowledged on both sides of the Atlantic.
