We have been honored with the “Innovation in Vacuum Busch Award” organized by Busch Vacuum Solutions for our significant contribution towards producing thermoformed packaging made from alternative materials such as natural fibers with the use of their vacuum technology.
Anne Dierkopf, CFO at Kiefel, and Martin Plößl, Head of Procurement at Kiefel, have attended the Innovation in Vacuum Busch Award Ceremony in Maulburg, Germany, where they have collected the prize and have presented our fiber thermoforming technology.
Our cutting-edge NATUREFORMER KFT 90 machine allows customers to manufacture recyclable and compostable fiber-based products including bowls, cups, lids, coffee capsules, frozen food packages, secondary electronics/luxury goods packaging, and flowerpots. By utilizing DOLPHIN liquid ring vacuum pumps from Busch, our fiber thermoforming machines are able to mold natural fibers like cellulose or straw into shape precisely. The collaboration between Kiefel and Busch Vacuum Solutions has spanned over two decades for several technologies, highlighting our commitment to innovation.
The annual “Innovation in Vacuum Busch Award” recognizes people or companies who demonstrate exceptional use of vacuum technology for the well-being of people and the environment. This award was presented for the first time in 2013 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Busch Vacuum Solutions.
