Another important step for Chinese Senior New Material Technology in one of the main areas of technical film applications
Senior New Material Technology is investing heavily in battery separator film lines. Already eight Brückner lines have been successfully in operation for some time now at their Changzhou premises. Four more have been launched very recently at Nantong and Hefei sites.
The projects ran smoothly, although the accompanying circumstances were not ideal. Worldwide delivery delays put project schedules under increasing pressure. Shipping times from Europe to Asia alone have now nearly doubled compared to pre-Corona times. Michael Binder, Project Manager at Brückner Maschinenbau, thanks the dedication of his colleagues on site: "Without the unwavering willingness of the crew on site, we would not have been able to keep the tight schedule. Therefore, I would like to express a big thank you to all colleagues in these projects! And a big thanks to Senior’s team. For the client it’s a very demanding market, but thanks to the good cooperation at the highest professional level both parties will reach future targets together.”
In August, Senior and Brückner Maschinenbau will start their next battery separator film line with a film-width for the first time of more than six meters. Both parties have already started the discussions on future projects. This cooperation will certainly be continued with high-performing battery separator film lines setting new standards in width and performance.
