Very well attended Brückner Asia Symposium 2023 in Thailand
Already since 2008, the Brückner Asia symposium has been held in high esteem in the Asian world of plastic film manufacturers. After the first event, it took place four more times – in Thailand, Macao and Indonesia. The series of events was now restarted after Corona and came back where it all began – to Thailand. Nearly 50 participants from the circle of Brückner customers heard lectures and discussed the megatrends affecting Asia’s plastic film industry. And the most important nations were represented China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
After Brückner management representatives gave an insight into “Circular economy – the green deal of Europe” and “efficiency, flexibility and performance for sustainable films” two external speakers ensured lively discussions with their presentations:
- Dr. Wannee Chinsirikul, Executive Director of the Thai National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), spoke on the subject of "integrated nanotechnology: Key in sustainable and innovative plastic film development" – she brought partly completely new insight for the audience and received great applause for it.
- Pranay Jain, Sustainability specialist, founder & CEO at EcoBlue Ltd. (a well-known recycling company in Thailand) pointed out “a way forward for circular economy in Asia”. As this topic is gaining more and more importance throughout all film industries, he hit a nerve with the audience and had to answer countless questions long after his talk.
The introduction of the last year founded “Brueckner Group Asia-Pacific“ successfully rounded off the event. The new platform company in Thailand strengthens the presence of all Brückner Group companies in the Asia-Pacific region in the long run and completes the platform strategy with a clear presence in the Asian key markets alongside Brückner Group China and Brückner Group India.
