In 2023, Brückner Maschinenbau has doubled the number of successfully commissioned film stretching lines to almost 50 compared to previous years. This shows the performance capability of the organization, the functioning personnel structure and the motivation of the employees.
As there were some absolute highlights and genuine world firsts, Brückner Maschinenbau was able to confirm its technology leadership despite some major challenges and send corresponding signals to the market. But the most important thing: satisfied customers who use the new lines to produce high-quality films that are in demand on the market.
Some highlights
- Two large, extensive turnkey projects, where comprehensive peripheral equipment such as energy supply systems, cranes, slitters, metallizers, and much more was supplied in addition to the stretching line. In Uzbekistan, it was the first BO line ever in this country and the first of its kind in Central Asia, covering the entire spectrum of A-grade food as well as non-food flexible packaging. The customer in Portugal has once again utilized the entire Brückner turnkey competence with the new line.
- One of the world's leading manufacturers of battery separator film and Brückner Maschinenbau are successful cooperation partners since many years – meanwhile at six locations and with a large number of Brückner lines, among them the most powerful battery separator lines worldwide. In 2023, eight lines were put into operation at two locations in China, including a highly efficient 5th generation production line with 250 million square meters annual capacity, Brückner's first of that kind worldwide.
- The world's first and, at 8.2m, widest and therefore most efficient sequential BOPA line for highly demanding packaging with oustanding barrier properties went successfully on stream last year. Since commissioning, the line has reliably produced the highest quality, so that the customer has firmly envisaged further cooperation with Brückner.
- Extremely thin and high-temperature capacitor films are indispensable for future-oriented mobility applications. To meet the tough requirements on these applications, leading film producers rely on Brückner Maschinenbau and on Brückner's unique simultaneous LISIM® technology. The most recent start of a LISIM® capacitor film line was crowned by outstanding success: Good film on winder in no time after line start-up and then, an extremely stable production of the highest quality within a few days, even in the lowest film thickness ranges at very high production speed.
- Contract signed for the world's most powerful and efficient stretching line for the production of BOPP film, thanks in part to 700m/min production speed.
